𝘔𝘰𝘨𝘱𝘰𝘨, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘲𝘶𝘦 – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA thru Marinduque Field Office facilitated the free skills training on meat processing to 32 parents of identified child laborers at Brgy. Argao last 06 December 2022.

Said activity was in partnership with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), reinforcing a strengthened collaboration and support among various government agencies in providing assistance to the families of child laborers aimed at eliminating the worst forms of child labor in the country. Among the participants, 19 parents were from Brgy. Guisian and 13 were from Brgy. Argao.

Field Office Head Mr. Philip T. Alano hoped that the training intervention will encourage the parents towards a sense of self-worth, empowerment and development resulting to the progressive elimination of child labor in the province.

Present during the activity were Barangay Argao officials and DTI personnel led by the trainer, Mr. Redeneil Agubang, Ms. Lessiedhel H. Morillo, Negosyo Center Business Counselor-Mogpog and Ms. Noemi N. Bumatay, Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program – Trade Industry Development Specialist (CARP-TIPDS).

Also present during the training were DOLE Marinduque personnels Ms. Jomarah Manlisis, Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program Community Facilitator, Mr. Montecarlo Jao, Administrative Aide VI and Child Labor Profilers Hennecy Ofalsa, Edward Malabayabas, Kherlyn Taloza, and Richard Malabayabas.
