ORIENTAL MINDORO – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA through its Oriental Mindoro Field Office implements Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers (TUPAD), an emergency employment program at various municipalities in the 2nd district of Oriental Mindoro on March 2-4, 2021.

Through the assistance of the LGUs’ respective Public Employment Service Office (PESO), a total of 1,060 beneficiaries coming from the Municipalities of Gloria (212 beneficiaries), Bansud (212 beneficiaries), Bongabong (207 beneficiaries), Roxas (212 beneficiaries) and Bulalacao (217 beneficiaries) were oriented on health and safety protocols as well as the reportorial documents that should be submitted for processing of salaries.

Beneficiaries will be engaged in social community projects for ten (10) days, such as debris clearing, de-clogging of canals, debris segregation and materials recovery, stockpiling, and clearing the basic repair of public infrastructures. They will be receiving the total amount of P3,200.00 or P320.00/day via the DOLE partner remittance center.

Moreover, beneficiaries will be provided with basic Personal Protected Equipment (PPE) such as caps, long-sleeved shirts and gloves and will be enrolled under Group Personal Accident Insurance (GPAI) of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for insurance coverage.

TUPAD under Bayanihan 2 is a safety net program that provides temporary wage employment to the workers in the informal sector and self-employed workers who were displaced or whose earnings were affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
