Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Marinduque Field Office conducted orientation on DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged (TUPAD) in Sta. Cruz, Marinduque last August 15, 2019 and in Torrijos and Buenavista, Marinduque held on August 16, 2019.
Attended 950 beneficiaries, Ms. Maria Cielo O. Orilla, Labor and Employment Officer II, discussed to the workers the nature and process of TUPAD or Emergency Employment Program including its project details to be implemented. Health and safety was also emphasized reminding all the workers to prioritize safety to avoid possible work accidents. Likewise, TUPAD beneficiaries were provided personal protective equipment to ensure their safety against hazards.
This 10-day short term employment aims to provide cash assistance through engagement in humanitarian operation activities which include greening project, declogging, cleaning of ditches, canals and creeks within their barangay.
