“Sana All, may trabaho na”, spoken words of a newly graduate and a first-time job seeker like Janno Mar M. Pijano. Looking for a job was never easy for Janno, despite having a Bachelor’s degree and passing the board examination for teachers.

For this, GIP of DOLE has a special place in my heart professionally and personally. The program opened so much opportunity for me as a fresh graduate at that time, to have a fun-filled work experience that also build trust from other horizon of work. I will be always grateful to the people who believed in me and gave me this opportunity to grow, not only within the agency where I serve but also as a person.

As beneficiary of the Government Internship Program, I have learned so much, faced challenges and experienced wonderful things that will stay forever in my memory and will never get tired of retelling to give inspiration to others.”

I will forever be thankful to the Department of Labor and Employment for the opportunity that led me to this exceptional profession.” – Janno Mar M. Pijano, Teacher II of Alcantara National High School former GIP beneficiary year 2016.

Provincial Director Carlo B. Villaflores, constantly reminded the interns during orientation and monitoring visits that as interns, this is an opportunity for them to learn more and enhance their talents. Acquire soft skills and enhance their people skills, which are critically needed as they pursue their dreams and enter the real world of work. Also, encouraged them to perform well in their respective work assignments and build good rapport with their workmates.
Government Internship Program is an employment facilitation program of the department that engages beneficiaries to public service and provide opportunities to demonstrate their talents and skills.
