BOAC, MARINDUQUE – DOLE MIMAROPA through its Marinduque Field Office (MFO) awarded a WODP scholarship grant to Ms. Maria Fe Residuo at the DOLE MFO, Boac, Marinduque. The scholarship was awarded by Asisstant Regional Director Atty. Erwin N. Aquino during his visit on 01 March 2022.

Ms. Maria Fe R. Residuo is the 19-year-old daughter of Maxima R. Residuo, a bonafide member of Devilla Carp Farmers Association in Sta.Cruz, Marinduque. She is in her 1st year taking up Business Administration Major in Financial Management at Santa Cruz Institute in Marinduque.

With the said scholarship, DOLE MIMAROPA shall shoulder the allowable educational expenses covering tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and stipend on a semestral basis for the duration of 7 semesters, to start on the 2nd Semester of School Year 2021-2022 and ends on 2nd Semester of School Year 2024-2025

The Devilla Carp Beneficiaries and Farmers Association has complied with the accreditation requirements and applied for the WODP Isabelo Delos Reyes (IDR) grant. The Executive Board/Officers of the association endorsed Ms. Residuo to be the beneficiary of the scholarship grant.

The Department of Labor and Employment is mandated to strengthen trade unionism by promoting the capabilities of workers as independent and active partners in national development. Isabelo Delos Reyes is a scholarship grant for legitimate dependent/children of bona fide officers & members of locals/chapters of labor federations, independent unions, workers’ associations and workers cooperatives. Under this scholarship, grants available include completion of four (4) or five (5) years of Bachelor’s Degree and completion of two-year Technical Course.
