BOAC, MARINDUQUE – The Department of Labor and Employment Marinduque conducted Social Dialogue on Regularization, OSHNET Re-Organization and Family Welfare Program held on August 28, 2019 at Balar Events Place.
Mr. Peter James D. Cortazar, Field Office Head of DOLE Marinduque, delivered his introductory message emphasizing to stop the practice of illegal contractualization by means of promoting voluntary regularization of workers.
RD Joel Gonzales talked about the essence of health and safety of the employees and employers in our workplace. He also presented different legal framework of contracting in the Philippines. “I challenge you (participants) here in Marinduque to increase the rate of regularization”, he ended.
With the latest Extended Maternity Leave (EML) benefit, TSSD Chief of DOLE MIMAROPA, Mr. Marjun S. Moreno taught the participants on how to avail at the same time compute the maternity monetary benefits. Also, Department Circular No. 1 (Guidelines on the Issuance of DOLE Certification as a Requirement for Application for Payment of Unemployment Insurance or Involuntary Separation Benefit) was also tackled after EML discussion.
Next topic focused on the Family Welfare Program (FWP) facilitated by Labor and Employment Officer II, Maria Cielo O. Orilla highlighting the ten dimensions of the program and pointed out the benefits of FWP for both the employers and the workers sector.
Last part of the program was led by Mr. Fulbert Paul Pukias, Labor and Employment Officer II as he defined responsible parenthood and reproductive health. He explained and stressed the value of family planning and how family conflict becomes a growing concern in the workplace situation.
This one-day activity was joined by 100 participants from different establishment province-wide.
