BANSUD, ORIENTAL MINDORO – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) -MIMAROPA thru Oriental Mindoro Field Office, in partnership with the Local Government of Bansud as Accredited Co-Partner awarded the 274k checks intended for the livelihood assistance of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of Bansud BJMP on November 18, 2022 at Bansud, Oriental Mindoro.

The check amounting to P175,604.00 has been awarded to 15 members of Samahang Freestyle ng BDJ Tungo sa Inaasam na Pag-unlad at Pagbabago for the purchase of equipmemt and supplies for their proposed business which is concrete pre-cast home furnitures such as tables and chairs.

Meanwhile, the check amounting to P98,950.00 has been awarded to 17 members Samahang Kaagapay ng mga PDL sa Pag-unlad ng Kaalaman at Kumikitang Kabuhayan for the purchase fo equipments and supplies for their proposed business business focusing on the production of native decorations and souvenir items such as flower coin banks, coin purse and wallets made of coconut shells.

The LGU Bansud will be in-charged in the purchase of equipment and supplies and monitoring of the project in coordination with BJMP Bansud.

The livelihood program of DOLE under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) aims to support the government’s efforts for poverty reduction and inclusive development through entrepreneurship and community enterprise.

DOLE MIMAROPA Regional Director Naomi Lyn C. Abellana and DOLE Oriental Mindoro Field Office Head Roderick F. Tamacay together with some LGU Bansud and BJMP attended the awarding ceremony.
