CALAPAN, ORIENTAL MINDORO – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Oriental Mindoro Field Office is now a safety seal-certified government office – the first Field Office in DOLE MIMAROPA Region following the recent thorough assessment and conferment by DILG Oriental Mindoro on September 21, 2021.

In compliance with Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), the best practices of DOLE OrMin are: integration of contact tracing, wearing of face masks and face shields for all employees and clients, temperature scanning, disinfection and sanitation, installation of physical barriers and markers to maintain social distancing, isolation facility, referral system  and the presence of a safety officer who regularly monitors the health and safety protocols.

“Being one of the government agencies that monitor and inspect the compliance of private establishments to the minimum public health and safety protocols, we should also set as an example by strictly following the IATF guidelines. This safety seal certification is the result our team effort and cooperation which boosts the confidence of our clients and stakeholders transacting in the office as the country grapples with the global pandemic” DOLE OrMin Field Office Head Roderick F. Tamacay said.

In line with DOLE-DOH-DILG-DOT-DTI- Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01, Series of 2021, the Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification program which guarantees that the private or public establishment is compliant with the minimum public health and safety standards set by the government.
