SAN TEODORO, ORIENTAL MINDORO – Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA through its Oriental Mindoro (OrMin) Field Office awarded Individual Livelihoods to twenty-five (25) parents of child laborers (PCL) on 14 December 2022 at Barangay Poblacion, San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro.

DOLE MIMAROPA Regional Director, Naomi Lyn C. Abellana, reminded the beneficiaries to be faithful to, good stewards and help in the growth of their business, “Ang importante ay lumago ang negosyo at dapat may pangarap tayo, at yan ang ating inspirasyon sa pagsisikap. Magpasalamat tayo sa negosyo at ipanalangin natin na matulungan na palaguin ang negosyong ito at magkatotoo ang pangarap natin para sa ating mga anak.”, she said in her message.

The approved individual projects with total amount of Php506,453.00 are for the enhancement of existing livelihood which are Sari-sari store, Rice Retailing, Hog and Poultry raising, Fruits, Vegetable & Fish Vending and Tailoring.

Present during the distribution were staff from DOLE Oriental Mindoro Office led by Mr. Roderick F. Tamacay – Field Office Head, Mr. Rameszes Torres – DILP Focal Person, Municipal Councilors, Hon. Steve Atayde and Hon. Karl Earvin Justo, and LGU San Teodoro PESO Manager, Ma. Rowena Justo.

The individual livelihood projects were implemented through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) or Kabuhayan program wherein the qualified beneficiaries can avail of an individual starter kit or Negokart up to a maximum financial assistance of P30,000.00
