BANSUD and BULALACAO, ORIENTAL MINDORO – To prepare the students in choosing their career path and empower them in making sound career decisions, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – MIMAROPA thru Oriental Mindoro Field Office conducted Career Coaching to Grade 10 – 12 students from Bansud and Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro as part of DOLE’s Career Guidance Advocacy Program (CGAP).

The first batch of seminar was conducted on December 9, 2022 at Villa Pagasa National High School and Alcadesma National High School in Bansud wherein 664 Junior High and Senior High Students attended. And on December 13, 2022, the second batch was conducted at Bulalacao National High School which was attended by 189 students.

The topics and discussion were focused on Tips on Findings and Selecting Career, Understanding Trends in Labor Market and In-demand Jobs which aims to guide and help students in their conscientious career planning or while getting ready for school-to-work transition.

The advocacy program concluded with the presentation of DOLE programs and services providing a grasp of how the government could be of further help to the students as far as employment is concerned.

With CGAP, the students will be guided with the roadmap of career success thereby, addressing the long-standing issue of jobs-and-skills mismatch for higher employment rates among youths.

CGAP is one of the flagship programs being implemented by the DOLE as employment facilitation inter mediation services for the youth to provide them relevant information that could guide them in making informed career choices.
