The Department of Labor and Employment Romblon Field Office in collaboration with the Barangay Local Government Unit of San Pedro, Concepcion, Romblon as the Accredited Co-Partner, headed the release of livelihood financial grant amounting to Php 967,653.00 to Concepcion National High School Parents and Teachers Association (CNHS PTA) with 120 beneficiaries on April 26, 2019 at Concepcion National High School.

The grant was allotted for the management of school canteen with catering service. The project aims to boost the income of the member-beneficiaries and also a training ground for the K-12 students taking up cookery class and Food and Beverage NC II.

Livelihood check was awarded by Mr. Carlo B. Villaflores, DOLE Romblon Field Office Head to Ms. Charilyn F. Fajelago, and Madam Monnette Fuedo, CNHS PTA President and CNHS Principal, respectively. Madam Fuedo expressed her gratitude as she mentioned: “Lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa DOLE sa ibinigay na tulong pangkabuhayan. Magsisilbi itong dagdag pagkakakitaan ng mga magulang na nagtatrabaho sa canteen. Malaking tulong din ito sa mga mga K-12 students na kumukuha ng related course kagaya ng cookery. Awarding was graced by the following: Hon. Manolito R. Faigmani (Brgy. Captain of San Pedro), Hon. Medrito Fabreag, Jr. (Mayor of Concepcion, Romblon), and Mr. Bob Fanoga (PESO Manager).

The beneficiaries believe that the livelihood will contribute to poverty reduction in their community.
