298 workers from the informal sector (IS) and Indigenous People (IPs) in Concepcion, Romblon benefitted from the Emergency Employment Program of the Department of Labor and Employment covering Nine (9) Barangays of the municipality.

Workers are tasked to do road clearing and sweeping for 10 days and earned an amount of P320.00 pesos per day. All beneficiaries were provided with uniform that includes green long sleeve shirt, a hat and a pair of hand gloves for their protection during the operation.

Emergency Employment Program or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantage/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) is a short – term community works that will provide temporary wage employment for unemployed poor and seasonal workers.
